Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and your choices.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Introduction

Kopend Holdings Inc. (“we”, “us”) operates Daily Trivia and is responsible for the personal data described here. We aim to handle your data in line with applicable privacy laws, including Canada’s PIPEDA and BC’s PIPA, and the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA where they apply to you.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details — your name and email, plus a hashed password (email sign-in) or basic profile from Google (Google sign-in).
  • Gameplay — the puzzles you complete and your streak history, so we can save and sync your progress.
  • Feedback — the message you send and, if you provide it, an email address for us to reply.
  • Technical data — limited data such as your IP address, used for security and to rate-limit abuse.

3. How & why we use information

We use your information to:

  • run the game and save your streak and history;
  • authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • respond to feedback you send us;
  • prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Daily Trivia:

  • Google — sign-in (Google OAuth);
  • Resend — sending account and notification emails;
  • our hosting provider — running the app and database;
  • Google Tag Manager / Analytics — usage analytics, where enabled.

Trivia questions come from the Open Trivia Database; no personal data is sent to it.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar storage. See our Cookie Policy for details.

6. Data retention

We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove associated personal data except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations. Feedback is kept as long as needed to act on it.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text) and traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data with reasonable safeguards.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, reach us through the .

9. Children’s privacy

Daily Trivia isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy over time. Changes are reflected in the “last updated” date above, and we’ll flag material changes where appropriate.
